ABOUT MAYA

Maya Man is a London-based makeup and prosthetic artist, known for her work across music, film, fashion, and editorial. Celebrated for her keen eye for detail and story telling, Maya has established herself as a leading artist and designer within the creative industry.

​

Maya has collaborated with musicians, including a three-year creative partnership with Wet Leg, working closely on their campaigns, press and TV performances. She continues to work extensively with artists throughout their album cycles, crafting unique looks that remain true to their identities.

​

Her commercial and editorial portfolio includes ad campaigns for adidas, Nike, ON, Oakley, Under Armour, New Balance, Nando’s and Arsenal (with Bukayo Saka), as well as editorial covers for Crack, Nylon, Wonderland, Rolling Stone UK, Rolling Stone Italia, Notion, NME, Esquire, The Face, 10 Magazine and 82K Magazine, where she also serves as Beauty Editor.

Maya’s work has also been featured in leading publications such as i-D, Hunger, Schön!, Commons & Sense, DSCENE, Rollacoaster, GAFFER and Dazed and Confused cementing her reputation as a dynamic and versatile artist.

With a background in film and love of skincare, Maya has mastered the art of creating prosthetics that integrate seamlessly within beauty. From pulsating hearts to transforming models into Paleolithic figures for fashion films, she finds beauty in all forms and uses her expertise to bring bold, imaginative visions to life.

 

Her most roll as the makeup department's supervisor was on Two Neightbours (2025).

Across the years, Girl (2022), A Banquet (2020) and Gospel According to Gail have picked up awards in film festivals. 

She designed for Indie feature film Infinite (2018-19) & EXTINCTION (2019) starring the likes of Emma Thompson, Rakhee Thakrar, Asa Butterfield and Tanya Reynolds.

Working internationally, she was the UK-based makeup artist for two Chinese Film/TV productions, and for VICE CHINA. see (IMDB)

In 2017, Maya graduated from UAL: London College of Fashion with a Bachelors Degree in Hair, Makeup and Prosthetics for performance. 

Prior to her BA she studied Foundation Graphic Design at London College of Communication (2014), and Art & Design at The BRIT School for performing arts and technology (2009-2013).
